Devlog #5 — Small Tweaks, Big Impact
✨ Introduction
Hey everyone! This week’s update is a bit smaller than usual — we’ve been short on time, so we couldn’t implement as many new features as we would’ve liked. Still, we made a couple of important adjustments that help improve gameplay and clarity.
✅ What’s new
- 🧱 Wall added to Level 1 We added a new wall before the boss area in Level 1. Now, players must defeat all the enemies in the level before they can face the boss. This helps ensure proper pacing and adds a clear progression challenge.

🎯 Yarn direction indicator
We added a visual indicator directly on the yarn ball that shows the direction it will take when launched. This makes aiming much more intuitive and gives players better control over their movements and strategy during combat.

🎯 What’s next
Here’s what we’re planning to work on next:

🧠 Boss fight logic: start implementing the behavior and patterns for the first boss battle.

🧭 Menu improvements: enhance the quality and visual polish of the pause and main menus.

🎵 Music and sound effects: add background music and sound feedback to make the game feel more alive.

🎨 Visual improvements: work on better lighting, effects, and visual polish to bring more personality and atmosphere to the game.
